A course for students and professionals with the latest advances in the design of new dosage forms of antibacterial drugs with improved biopharmaceutical properties to combat severe infections
Know: the main classes of antibacterial drugs, their mechanisms of action, physical and chemical properties, delivery systems for antibacterial drugs, the main types of carriers. Be able to: propose a suitable drug delivery system for a given antibacterial drug, propose an experiment design to study the physicochemical properties and antibacterial properties of such a system. Master: the theoretical foundations of the methods of physicochemical characterization of the resulting systems and methods for testing their antibacterial activity. As a result of completing the activities of this program, the student will gain knowledge on the main classes of antibacterial drugs, their mechanisms of action, physical and chemical properties, delivery systems for antibacterial drugs, the main types of carriers, on the methods of physicochemical characterization of the resulting systems and methods for testing their antibacterial activity.
